Once again, Jimmy Rodriguez, the creator of the internationally-renowned Restaurants is cooking up a storm with his new and masterful creation of Don Coqui.

Mr. Rodriguez\'s personal passion for creating something great, and his business philosophy, \"you can\'t succeed if you are not excited about what you are doing,\" are the main ingredients behind Don Coqui\'s story.

Don Coqui is an inspiration rooted and aged by four generations of \"family secret\" recipes birthed in the enchanting island of Puerto Rico and New York. Simply put, the concept of Don Coqui is: \"mi casa es tu casa.\"

Don Coqui\'s vast cultural and global brand appeal is most noted for its passion for people. At Don Coqui you feel like a member of the family while treated like the most important person; in the most exciting place.

There is so much to be said about Don Coqui\'s love at first bite. It\'s all about the awesome food, the electric energy of the people, its beautiful sound; a mixture of laughter and Latin music as waiters gracefully dance to the rhythm of kitchen chaos.

At Don Coqui you are always reminded of how great it feels to be alive!

Don Coqui\'s mixture of authentic Puerto Rican classic, along with a minimalist/elegant design flair and upscale edge, is sure to become the most exciting dining and entertainment spot for all occasions.

Whether you are dinning, entertaining or catering an event, Don Coqui is ready to make you feel at home.

So after hearing so much about Don Coqui I decided to go and check it out. Frist of all when I got there the place is pretty impressive from the outside. It\'s like 3 floors dedicated to the business. They also have valet parking which is always a plus. As you walk in to the building and look to your left you see chefs preparing food right then & there. They take pride in their fresh ingredients because they mention it to you a couple of times while you are there. There bread is made on premises so that says a lot. After passing the check in desk I walked upstairs (not a lot of steps so don\'t worry). The dining area is big. The decor, the music and atmosphere is a pleasant one. The manager and wait staff are very cordial and professional. The food looks good as I was looking at other people being served. So I ordered the plantain crusted crab legs. Yes it\'s as good at it sounds. I then had the whole lobster with shrimp stuffing and yucca mash. Wow it was mouth watering. The lobster basically melted in my mouth. The server(George) whom I recommend you request when you get there was helpful the whole time. I asked him for the dessert menu but instead he brought out a dessert platter. Tres leche, guayaba & cheese empanada, coconut flan, and ice cream. I ate the whole thing (going to the gym tomorrow). Listen if you are looking for fresh puertorican food that taste delicious and a service that is 5 star then you need to go to Don Coqui. The food there is to die for.
